What is Perioral Dermatitis?
Perioral dermatitis is a form of facial dermatitis that shows up as clusters of small, red, sometimes scaly bumps around the mouth. In some cases, it may also affect the sides of the nose or around the eyes (referred to as periorificial dermatitis).
It’s often triggered by:
Overuse of topical steroids
Harsh skincare products
Hormonal changes
Toothpaste containing fluoride or SLS
Barrier damage and inflammation
At Good Glow Skin Therapy, I support clients experiencing dermatitis with calming, restorative treatments that focus on reducing inflammation and rebuilding the skin’s protective barrier. My goal is to help soothe flare-ups, prevent future irritation, and guide you toward skin that feels comfortable and supported.
